All authority comes from God. There is no authority without Him, because He is the Creator and Master of everything. The more you yield yourself unto Jesus and the more you obey Him, the greater authorization you will have. Your authority is of Jesus when you co-operate with Him. If you try something without Jesus you will not have any authority except the capacity of your flesh.
In your flesh you may be able to manipulate some weak persons or create some illusions. You might pretend that the power is present but nothing really happens. Only Jesus through the power of the Holy Spirit in you is the true and ultimate source of your authority. When Jesus will show up then great and wonderful things will happen!
This centurion understood the character of the authority of the Kingdom of God. It was the same as he applied in his military duty. As long as he obeyed the orders of his leaders, he had authority to command his followers. The precondition of his authorization was obedience, not position, as some may think. He said, "I AM A MAN UNDER AUTHORITY..." As long as he was an obedient part of the authority line of the army, he could operate in the authority of the chief commander of the army.
Jesus is the head of the Universe. He is the Ruler over all, even all darkness. If you want to win any power of the darkness, you will need the authority of Jesus to work within you. You need to be connected in the authority line of Jesus, which means following the inspiration of the Holy Spirit inside you. Jesus is your Master all the time and He speaks to you through His Spirit in you.
There is no delegated authorization outside of the real time presence and leading of Jesus. If you depart from the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, your anointing will not work! This is simply because the Holy Spirit is the spirit of truth and He cannot agree with anything that is not from the Father. But anywhere, anytime and in any situation when you connect yourself to the authority line of Jesus, you are authorized to use His authority against the powers of darkness or circumstances. Through you He will do the works that are in His plan and purposes!

How you connect yourself to the authority line of Jesus:
Learn to be led by some righteous human authority. Yield your mind unto the truths of Jesus and the apostles. Learn to obey quickly the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. Make the inner witness, dreams and visions of the Holy Spirit your authority. Test your revelations in humble meditation. Compare your revelation with the truths of Jesus and the apostles. Do not act against the inner witness of the Holy Spirit.
Study the Word of God and find out the rules of the Kingdom of God. When you know the Word of God, you will know how God operates and what kind of plans He has. Then you will also be prepared to face attempts of darkness and discern the deceptive lies. Knowing the Word of God prepares your heart to listen and receive detailed directions in any situations.
Learn to discern the personal inspiration of the Holy Spirit in your life. Practice to hear and obey His voice consistently. Learn to discern when the anointing rests upon your thoughts, words or deeds. The voice of the Holy Spirit is the "rhema" word of God for a specific situation and it contains all the authority and power of God, when you hear and obey it.
Let the inner witness of the Holy Spirit become the absolute authority of your life. Learn to set aside your mind and understanding. Learn to respond immediately and exactly. When you are faithful in small things, Jesus will trust you greater tasks.
Let Jesus purify from you all rebellion, compromise and infirmity. Learn to co-operate under the authority, preparing your heart for the next move of God in your life. Keep your heart pure and free.
Live a life where the Holy Spirit will rest upon you. If you realize you have sinned, return quickly to the path of life. When you are in temptation, flee immediately to Jesus. Pour out your heart before Jesus and let Him heal your broken heart, identity, love and faith.
Keep your mind in Jesus. Think about what Jesus would do in your situation. When you let your heart be softened in love, you will hear much more from Jesus. Make a commitment to be available hours a day for Jesus!
Begin your day having a time of worship and fellowship with Jesus. Let Him speak to you and remember what He says to you. He is your Master and He has a lot to say to you concerning the schedules of your life. He will be with you forever!
Jesus wants to take you into His plans. It is up to you how far you want to go with Him. Jesus wants to use you more than you would do! He believes in you more than you do. He is calling you into stronger anointing and higher calling.
Because of His faithfulness you will reach the goal of your life. Jesus in you will make you a great leader in the Kingdom of God!
The governing law of the Kingdom of God is serving and giving. Whatever you have got as a blessing from God, that you can give to the others. There is no idle person or idle time in the Kingdom. You will spend time in receiving from the Lord and you will serve and give blessings to the other. Any growth in the ministry will come through actions of obedience.
The fruit of the Holy Spirit must rule your soul. Your credibility as a leader depends more of your character than your actions. When you are healed from broken heart, the anointing of the leader can come upon you. This is the plan of God. Jesus in you is the leader of the universe. You in Him are the leader of your life and ministry.
Following practical actions will help you in becoming a great and honorable spiritual leader:
Let the Holy Spirit transform you into the image of Jesus. Let the Fire of the Holy Spirit come continuously over you. Lead other people into the same life style.
Control your tongue and feelings in love. Let the Holy Spirit inspire you to speak words of faith and life to people around you. Turn negative comments into positive and faithful insights. Turn hatred into love, cursing into blessing and darkness into light.
Seek opportunities to lead people to Jesus (salvation, healing, deliverance, provision, immersion in the Fire of the Holy Spirit). Pray to God that He would lead you to the people that are ready to receive from you.
Take care of your marriage and children. Teach your children, pray with them and they will see the power of God in their own life. Call your neighbors, relatives, colleagues and friends and tell them about Jesus. Your personal love towards them and devotion to God will preach much more than big sermons!
Take responsibility of the people that God leads to you. Keep having fellowship, teaching and encouraging. Be available in any situation, day and night. Make it easy for the people to come to you and touch you as a real human being and as a servant of God.
Seek to co-operate with a senior servant of God who can lead you. Be faithful in helping him and receiving from him. Draw from his anointing meanwhile you grow in your own revelation and calling.
Make a commitment to build a church or a ministry with others. You need to learn to build the work of God together with other people, as a faithful servant, and then God will trust you your own ministry to build His Kingdom.
Learn a life style of constant growth and change. Make a decision to change every day. Then after a year you will be another person and you will have a double anointing and even more!
The key is to seek after the anointing and to let your character grow in Jesus through increasing knowledge of the Word of God and filling with the Holy Spirit. Do not worry about your position or circumstances. Concentrate to co-operate with the Holy Spirit. He will be your teacher, power, wisdom, comforter, provider and solution in all situations. Seek after the most precious gifts of the Spirit. Learn to act in faith. The anointing will destroy every yoke and open the way to you.
