1. JESUS AS OUR SUBSTITUTE SACRIFICE

In heaven, the powerful cherub, called Lucifer, rebelled against God. He became the enemy of God and His creation. God cast the enemy out from the presence of God and gave him and his follower eternal judgement of death. In Paradise, the enemy of the soul tempted man into rebellion against God. Man listened the voice of serpent and rejected God as his authority, provider, protection and as source of his health, wisdom, power and love. Darkness came into man and he became also the enemy of God.

The fall of man was fatal. He lost his future, life with God, all provision and blessings of God. Lucifer is a spirit and he fell in the highest glory of God. Man fell on the earth and in the body of flesh. Therefore, God could provide forgiveness and deliverance for man from the slavery of darkness. Mans separation from God was deadly but not final. God sent Jesus to carry the penalty and consequences of the fall of man.

Through the centuries God showed His willingness to forgive man and make a covenant with him. The Bible describes many covenants that God made with man from His side. He chose the people of Israel to explain, prepare and perform the atonement from the sin on man. Through Moses God showed that He accepts only blood sacrifices of pure animals as substitute reconciliation for sins. In this way God prepared the nation of Israel to receive and believe in the coming Savior. He was to die as a perfect and innocent Sacrificial Lamb, bearing the sins and their consequences of all men upon Himself.

Jesus ministered as the Anointed One (Ha Maschiach / kristos = the anointed one), Jesus was conceived from the Holy Spirit. He grew up in the presence and power of the Holy Spirit. At the age of 30 He received the water baptism in from to John the Baptist. In that moment Father God released upon Him the anointing and ministry of the Messiah. Jesus called 12 disciples and made them finally His apostles in the same anointing that He had.

Jesus was filled with the Holy Spirit and fire all the time. He was living in unity with the Father. By His anointing Jesus ministered about 3,5 years and healed the sick, delivered people from demons, fed large crowds of people, raised the dead and did many other miracles. Through Him God the Father gave us an example of the man which lives in close unity with Him. Jesus is the model and example for all of us who receive His salvation.

In Gethsemane, Jesus gave up the ministry of the Anointed One and took the position and mission of the Sacrifice Lamb. On the cross of Calvary, Jesus died as our substitute sacrifice. Because of his vicarious sacrifice, we get to live in connection with the glory of God the Father.

2 Cor. 5:21: He made him who knew no sin to be sin for us, so that we might become the righteousness of God in him.

By commission of the Father and as a substitute sacrifice, Jesus took upon himself all the sins, crimes, diseases, curses, complicities in iniquity and all other power and effects of darkness. God the Father's punishment of darkness came complete and final upon Jesus. He was a perfectly pure and innocent sin offering for us.

Through Jesus, God condemned all the darkness that had taken over people. Jesus took also our guilt of rejecting God upon Himself. Jesus took upon himself our sins, sicknesses, iniquities, traumas, demonic temptations, curses and other effects of darkness. God had to reject Jesus into separation from Him. Jesus died on the cross after God had rejected Him. But in His immense love God raised Jesus from death, because He Himself was innocent. He had our darkness upon Himself, but the fire of God was in His spirit.

Based on the atoning work of Jesus, God can now take every human being who receives Jesus as his personal Savior. After you have received Jesus, God gives a new birth to your spirit and receives you as His son / daughter. As evidence of His acceptance, He gives the Holy Spirit into the spirit of believers. He declares every person who receives Jesus righteous, holy and blameless through Jesus.

If you have joined Jesus, you also have the right and duty with Jesus to judge the powers of darkness and drive them out of your own life. You get to exercise this authority in the power of the Holy Spirit concerning your own soul, body and life. You can also serve others based on a joint agreement. In the anointing of the Holy Spirit, you invite people to receive Jesus and free them from the power of darkness.

Jes. 9:5-6: For a child is born to us, a son (of God) is given to us, on whose shoulders is the dominion, and his name is: Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. There will be no end to the increase of His dominion and peace on David's throne (in the visible world) and in his kingdom (in the Heavenly world); it is established and established by the execution of justice and righteousness/righteousness now and forever. It is the zeal of the Lord of hosts that does it.

In the anointing of the Holy Spirit God has given his sons / daughters the right to rule with Jesus over the elementary forces. You have the right to judge, reject and drive out of your life all the darkness that the Holy Spirit shows you. When you minister others, you have the right and duty to do the same in the agreement with them.
